About Monique
I am a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) and Australian Psychological Society (APS). I have completed a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice. I have considerable experience working with children, teenagers and adults with a broad range of clinical presentations. My special interests include:
· anxiety disorders
· test anxiety
· perfectionism
· depression and mood disorders
· obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
· parent-child relationships
· parenting skills
· adjustment difficulties
· child/teenager behavioural difficulties
TREATMENT APPROACH
My treatment approach is based on a solid conceptualisation and formulation and is tailored to the needs of the individual. I practice from a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I am dedicated to providing my clients with the utmost respect, empathy and confidentiality in a safe and encouraging environment. I aim to help my clients understand, learn and grow from the difficulties they face in order to achieve their true potential.
PREVIOUS TRAINING
I have had training and experience in both private practice and Queensland Health. I have undertaken training at Brisbane Private Psychiatric Hospital delivering short-term, intensive treatment to inpatients and outpatients and also children and families at Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS).
